A stone castle-style residence on Warm Springs Ridge above Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, built for Colonel Samuel Taylor Suit - a Maryland legislator and whiskey magnate - beginning in the mid-1880s and known locally as 'the Castle' since 1888, the year Suit died. It was completed for his widow, Rosa. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Reported · Local legend (framed as legend, not fact) holds that two of Rosa's suitors died mysteriously - one reportedly pushed from the roof, another impaled on an umbrella on the grand staircase.
