The record
A seven-story Jeffersonian-inspired Classical Revival resort hotel overlooking the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, completed in 1927 (architects Neff & Thompson). The last of the city's pre-World War II beachfront hotels, it hosted U.S. presidents and, during World War II, served as a U.S. Navy radar training school. On the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #14000239, 2014).
