The record
The 23-room chateau-style mansion in Pittsburgh's Point Breeze neighborhood that was the home of industrialist Henry Clay Frick and his family from 1883 to 1905. Originally an 11-room Italianate house purchased in 1882 for $25,000, it was transformed by architect Frederick J. Osterling by 1891. Meticulously preserved (about 93% original artifacts), it is the last remaining Gilded Age mansion of its kind in Pittsburgh and anchors The Frick Pittsburgh museum complex. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2025.
