The record
A Beaux-Arts theatre opened February 15, 1906, designed by Albert E. Westover and rebuilt in 1907 after a fire destroyed the interior months after opening. It is the last remaining downtown Altoona theater, listed on the National Register of Historic Places (1973), and is owned and operated today by the Blair County Arts Foundation. Founder Isaac C. Mishler was buried in Altoona.
