The record
A stone tavern built in 1779 (also known as the Old Stone Tavern) in the Bardstown Historic District of Bardstown, Kentucky, across from the historic Nelson County Courthouse - one of the oldest taverns in Kentucky and, by tradition, continuously operating since it opened. A former stagecoach stop that hosted many notable travelers, including outlaw Jesse James. On the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #73000822, 1973). It operates today as a restaurant with a five-room bed and breakfast.
