The record
A historic hotel in downtown Chattanooga founded in 1872; the current 141-room main building dates to 1926 (architects Holabird & Roche). The site's first hotel, the Crutchfield House, opened in 1847 across from the Union Depot, and hosted Jefferson Davis in January 1861. On the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #76001780, 1976).
