The record
Established in 1827 as the Genesee County Poor Farm, housing the indigent, elderly, orphans and those the era deemed unfit for society. It later operated as a county home and infirmary; in 1964 the facility was converted and renamed the Genesee County Nursing Home, which closed in 1974 before the property passed into private hands.
