The record
A small historic house museum in Dumfries, Virginia's oldest chartered town. The Weems-Botts House originally served as the vestry for the Quantico Church and later as the office of Mason Locke 'Parson' Weems (George Washington's first biographer) and attorney Benjamin Botts (of Aaron Burr's defense team). On the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #75002029, 1975); owned by the Town of Dumfries and operated by the nonprofit Historic Dumfries Virginia, Inc.
